Getting to the root cause of attention and behavior struggles

 What It Is

Parenting a child with big emotions, focus struggles, or defiance can feel like living in the middle of a storm. Calm the Storm is a monthly, online parent membership that helps you understand the root causes of your child’s attention and behavior challenges — and equips you with natural, practical strategies to bring more peace into your home.

Each month you’ll join us for a live, one-hour class where we dive into topics like nutrition, sleep, stress, and other hidden factors that influence behavior. Every class is recorded, so if you can’t attend live, you’ll still get access anytime.

Monthly Topics:  Noon - Central

Nov 17 — Calming the Fire; From Chaos to Calm in Real Life.

When meltdowns erupt, you need tools you can use right away. This session covers practical resets — breathing, movement, sensory breaks — plus short-term dietary shifts (like removing dairy or gluten) that can quickly lower inflammation and calm the storm.

Dec 15 — The Gut-Brain Connection; Poop, Picky Eating, and Meltdowns.

A healthy gut = a calmer brain. This class dives into gut health, digestion, and why picky eating, constipation, or frequent tummy aches often go hand in hand with meltdowns and attention issues.

Disclaimer:

Calm the Storm is an educational and supportive parent program. While our office also provides counseling services, participation in this membership does not establish a therapy relationship and should not be considered a substitute for professional counseling, diagnosis, or medical care.

The purpose of this program is to give parents tools, knowledge, and encouragement to look for clues and connect the dots — noticing patterns, exploring possible root causes, and supporting their child with natural, everyday strategies.

If your child is experiencing significant emotional, behavioral, or physical health concerns, we encourage you to reach out to a qualified mental health professional (we can help) or your child’s primary care provider.
